A New Webinar Series: Exploring Psychosomatic Origins Within Trauma and Sexual Dysfunctions

Throughout my career as a psychotherapist specializing in sex therapy and trauma therapy, I have come to understand that there are critical psychological and physiological processes at work that that manifest themselves into the symptoms that clients have when seeking sex therapy services.

I’ve continued to explore this clinical inquiry through reading, clinical training and ongoing case work. Through my practice, I began to see similar processes in many of my clients undergoing trauma therapy for sexual health-related symptoms. I became more convinced of the importance of not only scientifically understanding what was happening, but also systematically producing a body of work based on empirical evidence.

Only with the integration of medicine and psychology can we truly provide relief to patients suffering from psychosomatic symptoms that are associated with symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), specifically in the field of sex therapy.

Beyond that, I delight in the possibility that it will be possible to understand the intersection of human psychology and physiology and the specific pathways and mechanisms by which trauma to any degree manifests itself in physical symptoms. Clinical experience continues to lend itself toward this metaphorical pattern in which physiological pathways and associated symptoms carry untold stories.

This webinar series will follow an organic path as I embark on my journey into obtaining my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. With each webinar, I’ll present more than a decade of clinical experience combined with new insights from research into these areas – both for patients searching for answers and relief from symptoms, and for providers who have a desire to understand how to better treat clients with unexplained medical symptoms negatively affecting how they function and their quality of life.

It is my pleasure to start this journey with you!

Webinar 1: When I Say Yes, But My Penis Says No

For Patients

No Cost

In this webinar, we will discuss one of the most significant sexual dysfunctions in men: erectile dysfunction (ED).

ED is a common sexual dysfunction in men, and can cause shame and frustration for those who suffer from it – but there are solutions that really work. In this free webinar, I’ll discuss my experience working with many men who have suffered from ED and treatment options available through sex therapy and trauma therapy that provide more long-lasting and curative effects.

For Providers

$35

This webinar will provide education, clinical direction and insight from my experience as a psychotherapist, sex therapist and trauma therapist working with men who have ED.

Studies have shown that psychotherapeutic interventions done in coordination with pharmacology lead to a better treatment outcome. However, there is limited understanding of the physiological process that leads to ED in men without an organic cause.

If you're a medical provider or fellow therapist wanting to learn more about ED, register today. (CEU credits available.)
