Our clinic is expanding to deliver high-quality therapy services from Kimberly Keiser and Associates to those in need outside the current geographical areas that we serve.
Members of our clinical team are currently licensed in South Dakota, Minnesota, and Iowa, and will soon be part of the Counseling Compact, which includes 39 U.S. States. The Counseling Compact is an interstate compact, or a contract among states, allowing professional counselors licensed and residing in a compact member state to practice in other compact member states without the need for multiple licenses.
Benefits of the Counseling Compact include:
The Compact helps counselors by affording them greater mobility and drastically reducing the time it takes for authorization to practice in a new state.
The Compact will help clients by improving continuity of care when clients or counselors travel or relocate.
The Compact will help the public by ensuring that member states rapidly share investigative and disciplinary information and cooperate in investigations of practitioner misconduct when necessary.
The Counseling Compact works with universal license recognition laws to increase license portability.
